Event Format and Timeline

We will have an “expo” floor setup with about 50 startups and corporations.

They will each have a table and be demonstrating their services/products/tech, sharing any job opportunities (contract/part time/full time), and sharing any fundraising needs.

We will have four speaker panels scheduled focused on educating startup founders and investors on various topics.

In “expo” space:

Speaker Profiles:

David Cremin is a founder and Managing Partner of Frontier. He leads fund operations, fundraising and portfolio management for Frontier. Prior to Frontier, he was a founding partner of Zone Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm. David has raised over $200 million in venture capital partnerships and helped lead investments in over 100 companies, including Divx Networks (NASDAQ:DIVX), Clear Access (Cisco), Prolacta Bioscience and Momentfeed. He previously served as Founder and CEO of Vis-à-Vis Entertainment, a music media company. He spent several years touring as a professional musician and recording artist for RCA Records, Atlantic Records, Elektra Records and EastWest Records. David has taught business feasibility as an adjunct professor at UC Santa Barbara and California Polytechnic San Luis Obispo. He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.

Jim Andelman, Managing Director of Rincon Venture Partners

Jim is co-founder and Managing Director of Rincon Venture Partners. In this capacity, he is responsible for driving the fund’s investment activities, as well as the firm’s operations. Jim is in his fifteenth year as a VC. Jim received his MBA with highest distinction (first in his class) from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth, and his BS in Economics (magna cum laude) from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Jim serves on the Boards of Directors of Campus Explorer, Conversion Logic, Keen IO, Mobcrush, Rentlytics, Rainforest QA, Steelhouse, TaxJar and Tradesy.
